The Best Woolen Cloth With a Teflon Coating Is the Standard Cloth (Slightly Fuzzy Surface)
This 21-ounce fabric is the best woolen cloth available and offers the added feature of Teflon. This fabric is bathed in DuPont Teflon to give it the most complete protection in spill and stain prevention which makes it perfect for home use with recreational players, and at a modest price.
WORSTED WOOL IS THE FINEST CLOTH
(Very Smooth Surface)
Simonis worsted wool tournament cloth has longer and slimmer fibers that are sheared on the top surface to get the very smooth feel. It does not shed or pill short fibers from the cloth surface after brushing the table.
It is enjoyed by players who like their table to play faster to really enjoy the game. The balls don’t slow down as quickly due to the smooth surface.
This is a very good feature here in the Coastal Bend because this is a high humidity region.
Humidity (moisture) swells up the cloth fibers and creates more friction and drag with the rolling balls. Just ask a local golfer who will tell you that putts roll slower in the morning and quicker in the afternoon when the grass has finally dried out from overnight moisture.
SIMONIS is the very best cloth worldwide and is about 75% more expensive than a Woolen Cloth.
